September 2021 Sunday
About the Fort:-
Type : Hill fort
Fort Range : Malshej - Dhasai
District : Murbad
Grade : Easy
Ganpati Gadad is a group of 6-7
caves near Dhasai. This is fairly simple trek and quite enjoyable and a treat
for eyes in monsoons.
You can enjoy various small
waterfalls here. This route is wonderful for nature lovers..
Height: 3000 ft above MSL approx.
Grade: Easy
Base Village : Sonavale, Dhasai
Ganapati gadad caves are situated in
small village called ‘Palu, Sonawale’ in Murbad. These caves are surrounded by
many historical places such as Dhakoba fort, nanheghat etc
Itinerary for Trek:-
Saturday Night 4th September 2021
11.00 pm – Assemble at suitable
place in Mumbai & Pune (Will be intimated later)
Sunday 5th September 2021
4.00 am – Reach Base Villages &
Take Rest
05:30 am – Fresh up & have
Breakfast
06:00 am – Start ascending towards
the Fort
9:00 am – At top
10:00 am - start descend –
01:00 pm– At base village for Lunch
Leave for Mumbai & Pune by 02:00
pm
Back Home by 7.30
Things to carry:-
• Canvas shoes / Sports shoes
• Ruck sack / Shoulder bag which can
hold following items
• Water Bottle (2 Litres Minimum)
•
Cap
• Plate, spoon.
• Spare Cotton Track pant & T-
shirts 1 no each.
• Personal medical kit (personal
medicines if any, prescribed by family Dr.)
• Lunch to be carried on your own
(and for sharing with friends)
Note:
• Please do not carry gold ornaments
or any other valuables.
• Please do not carry handbags or
zolas for the trek.

Avoid Chapels / Slippers for trek
• Camera, Binocular is allowed at
your own risk
• for safety please follow the
expert’s/ Instructors advice on trek.

Balance 50% to be done at least 3
days before commencement of trek.
